Post Christmas Blah-g

So it`s the day after Christmas and I`m out of holiday mode and ready to move on. Yesterday was a long day. A nice day, but nothing much went on.

Today Corey and I headed to Target for some post-holiday bargains. I bought my Christmas cards for next year. ( half priced, ofcourse! ) I also got some wrapping paper and a couple cute hand towels.

Last year after the decorations were down they all were put away very haphazardly. This year I must label things and have them organized. Drives me nuts!

Corey has a bit of a cold. She took some meds and went to bed. She is leaving in a few days - going on a little new year`s road trip, so I hope she feels better soon.

That`s it for now. Have a good night, everyone!

I love sale shopping. I haven't been able to do so, but will soon.  Going back to work tomorrow is going to be a hard thing for me to do.  Hope your day is a great one !  'On Ya' - ma

I always want to save a few dollars for the after Christmas clearance sales on wrap and cards, but I never accomplish it...
I am glad you enjoyed your day after!  Jae

I went to Target this morning also.  I replenished a lot of my Christmas decorations that were getting ratty and bought some outside lights for next year.  I got Christmas cards also...so cute at Target.  I'm definitely sending cards next year.  LOL..got my SIL a large snowman birdfeeder for next year and a couple of other things but returned them already because Joey is sure she pilfered my snow guys.  Petty but my son is so levelheaded I know he saw what he saw.  Anyway, Ms. Penny, love your blue sidebar and snowflakes...so pretty.  Hope Corey feels better soon.  Becky is also sick.  Love ya, Chris

I did not to get out at bargain shop this year.  This is the first year that I had to work the day after Christmas.  Oh well.  I am happy that you are doing well miss Penny.  Hope that baby of yours gets better.  How is the puppy?

I used to feel that dip in sensation when the Christmas celebration was over but now I look at it a little differently.     I think the people rushing around in the stores are part of the let down as the commercialization is so intense.     Now I have a peaceful feeling and look toward next years Christmas with the caroling on TV as a positive reinforcement of good.     Or maybe it is just the anti-depressant I take,   lol .     Since it is once a year it leaves the entire year to think about the thoughts that this past Christmas generated.    Thanks for visiting my journal Penny and best wishes to you and your daughter on the New Year and days of enjoyment.      mark
