Still Feeling Blah

Won`t you step into the parlor and make yourself at home? I`ll be right back with some hot tea and scones...........

I have had a blasted cold for two weeks now. The antibiotics I received last week didn`t help a bit. So I went to the doctor again last night after work and now I am taking a different antibiotic and a decongestant.  I hope this works!

My friend Janice and I had lunch today at the Olive Garden. I wouldn`t have gone out at all, but I had to pick up medicine and run to the bank anyhow. It was a nice afternoon, although I was glad to get home and rest. I may take a day off tomorrow.

If you haven`t already, please stop by and say Happy Birthday to my dear friend Chris-

A Day in the Life

I don`t know how many of you were reading her journal this past summer, or if you were reading my old journal... but for those of you who don`t know, Chris and I met in June. She is just as sweet in person as she is in her journal!  :)   HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Have a great weekend all.

Penny, I just love that parlor.  I sure hope you get rid of that bug you have.  I'm praying for you.

Thanks for such a nice birthday greeting and the link.  You are so sweet.  I got so many wonderful cards.  LOL...of course, with the connection problems I'm having, I finally got the last one opened today.

Take care of yourself, Penny!

Love ya,
Chris

I hope that you are feeling better Miss Penny.  I love Olive Garden, but I can't afford it very often at all.  I said Happy B-day to Chris, but I am afraid that it was very late indeed.  I am not a good jland friend.
E-mail your address so that I can send you a wedding invite.  They are so cute.  I miss you Penny.
XOXO

Hey Penny, I've stepped into your parlor for tea and scones. I'd really love to stay and chat, m'dear, but you see my voice is still gone. But thank you so much for your well wishes today in my journal entry. I came by to return the favor, and wish you well. Hope the medicine kicks in soon. Sounds like you are sicker than I at the moment. Mine hasn't gotten into my chest, yet, but it seems always to work its way there. That's when I'll need the big guns (antibiotics), but until then, I'm going to stick with what I know best: lots of fluids, rest as much as is possible on my schedule, and try not to talk too much... <grin>.

I do remember reading your entries this summer, about when you and Chris met for one day... that was an exceptional event, exciting. Now that I've been journaling, I wonder who my new j-land friends are like in person, what they look like, sound like when they laugh. I wonder if they'll roll their eyes at me when I tell them what I think. See their homes, meet their families, their dogs... weird, huh? I wish I could go to that J-land convention at Myrtle Beach this spring, but I won't be able to. It's very bad timing for me, but I've already imagined how great it would be to meet these new people I have come to know through their journals and emails. I think one day I will probably meet one of them. Maybe start with one closer to home. This adds a new dimension to journaling!

Have a great week, and get to feeling better. Tea and scones another day, maybe? Bea
